RPT Tuning for over 40 years Denver, Colorado

Tuning by ear and electronically.

Every piano arrives with its own history. If yours has drifted in pitch, a key is sticking, a string has broken, or a hammer needs attention, I will assess what it needs before I begin.

I tune grand, baby grand, upright, and spinet pianos using aural and electronic methods. I also provide pitch raises, basic regulation, and harpsichord tuning and repair.

Minor repairs are included with a basic tuning service. For current pricing and availability, call or email me directly.

Art began tuning in the Navy on Guam.

Music was part of my life early. My father was a music teacher, and I play piano, trumpet, and violin. While serving in the Navy on Guam, I began learning piano tuning, a practice that has continued for more than 40 years.

After a career in orthopedic surgery, I retired and made piano work my full-time focus. I am a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild, and the Denver Chapter lists me as Arthur Heller in its current RPT directory.

A second area of study

Heirlooms, cylinders, and machines built before 1930.

I also consult on antique phonographs and collections, particularly heirlooms, estate pieces, early records, cylinders, and machines made before 1930. As an avid collector and past president of the Old West Antique Phonograph Society, I have answered collection questions from around the world.
